My answer:
I try to keep up with the latest and greatest, through blogs and websites. Currently, my computer is one I built in 2012, my laptop is from 2014, my chromebook is from this year, my phone is from last year, and my iPad is from... uh... 2015 I think.
So I have a wide array of "newness" to my tech. I don't usually upgrade as soon as something comes out, but rather wait for reviews. Oh, I take that back with the Nintendo Switch. I got one of those last year and and love it. I have a PS4 "slim" because I couldn't find a PS4 Pro anywhere. And a Gamecube from *mumble* vintage. And multiple Gameboys including a New 3DS.
So some of my tech is old. Some is new(er). Some is vintage. I also like books.
But yeah, I try to keep up with stuff but I don't buy right away. I like to read reviews of everything (including games) and then buy based on that.
As far as my relationship to tech is concerned... We can say that I love it and that I'm techy. I love to read about tech, talk about tech, and watch videos about tech. It's just fun to follow partly because it's changing all the time and partly because it's cool to see what people are coming up with as far as new things are concerned.
